Maybe I will spend less on lodging and food, I just have no idea. People do these trips for ~$15000/yr, so it should be doable. At any rate, still less than a year of expenses in the US. I looked at Me Go again, she averaged about $31/day on her trips, excluding pre- and post- trip expenses, so that would be transport, lodging and food, visas, etc. for $11300/yr, adding my initial flight, storage, and insurance we have ~$15000. I spent too much on gear and won't go into that here,
