Doxy is a synthetic variant of tetracycline, it blocks bacterial protein synthesis, broad spectrum (gram + and -). Good for sinusitis, pneumonia. Treatment: 2 x 100 mg on the first day, 1 x 100 mg for seven days, after meals. So, at least I don't have to deal with possibly conterfeit Chinese medicines. If this stupid nose doesn't get better with some clearer air I'm hitting the doxy before I get to Nepal.
